The tithe is not one more ask among many. It is the stable, grateful, sacrificial, proportionate return of the disciple to the God who has given everything.

Vietnamese Potluck Luncheon Oct 18
Everyone is invited to share a Vietnamese luncheon with Fr. Devin Burns on Sunday, October 18 after the 10:30 mass. You may drop off your food prior to mass in the Charity Hall Basement.Để có dịp gặp gở và làm quen với mọi người và Cha Chánh Xứ, xin quý vị bớt chút thì giờ sau buổi lễ 10:30 sáng Chúa Nhật ngày 18 tháng 10, qua nhà hầm của Charity Hall dùng bữa trưa. Nếu được, xin mỗi gia đình đem một món để chia sẽ. Cha Devin rất thích những món ăn Việt Nam. Quý vị có thể đem thức ăn tới Hầm của Charity Hall trước giờ lễ.
KFL Voting Guide Available - Oct 18
The Kansans for Life voting guides for the General Election will be available to you following the three Masses this weekend, October 17-18. They will be distributed as exit the parking lots in your car. Early voting begins on Monday, October 19th and continues until Election Day on Tuesday, November 3rd.

CTK Cares is helping a mother with 2 children move in to a new home. They only have 1 bed currently, so we are seeking donations for lightly used furniture. There will be no daily Mass at 8:00am next week, while Fr. Devin is away for the Clergy Conference. The CTK Students will pray the rosary on Wednesday morning at 8:00am, if you want to join them.

Have you ever wondered about those pink tithing envelopes? They support a ministry that has been active in this parish for over fifty years: Christ the King Cares. Father Vincent Eck started Cares to help parishioners experiencing financial difficulties. Through the years, this assistance has extended to people who are not members of Christ the King but live in the parish boundaries. Cares can help with rent, utilities, or other expenses people are having difficulty paying due to unforeseen circumstances. Because of the generous donations of our parish members, Cares assisted 37 families, both parishioners and non-parishioners, in the last six months. Thank you for your support of this ministry!
