Gratitude encourages Generosity
When parishioners tithe, they should be able to see the fruit of their gift. Children are formed. The poor are served. The sacraments are celebrated. The parish is maintained. Ministries flourish. The Gospel is proclaimed.
It is always good to highlight the fruit of the tithe, because generosity encourages generosity. That generosity is best encouraged by gratitude. Rather than always asking again, the parish can also say thank you.
Thank you for your tithe. Thank you for making the Gospel mission possible.
“And be thankful.” — Col 3:15
